Aurora Australis under the aurora australis

Over the past few night we have had a bit of auroral activity (not to be confused with Aurora activity. Dave Correll took this panorama three nights ago, and it shows the aurora australis, the Aurora Australis (the bright light) and the LIDAR (the green beam of light on the right).

Hey Boon,

Sorry I haven't checked out your blog! I am very impressed.

Marnie has told me about it at school but I kept forgetting to come on and have a look.

I just quickly read over most of your vouyage. Most impressive.

Glad you are healthy and well... And it seems like you have settled down well.

It's not something I could ever do. Would miss my family too much... And would probably get despressed with the weather etc... Marnie and I were talking about it. You have a lot more guts then me.

We have been doing a biggest loser comp at school. Been good fun. Marnie has lost a bit, as have most of the teachers involved. I am down 6.5kgs and 6 cms off my waste... Which I think is pretty bloody good in 3 weeks.

9 weeks left to loose as much as I can and win the $$$. We all put in $25 at the start and the winner takes all the money... DOnt think I can win though. Not fat enough to start out with. Some people had a disctinct advantage...

Well, I hope this message finds you well! Sorry to the others that had to read this message! I dont know what your email is, so I thought I would post a message instead.

Look after yourself mate...

Cheers,

Worm
